The story

Lakhari Valley Wildlife Sanctuary covers 118 sq km of the Lakhari Valley in the Eastern Ghats, in Ganjam district, Odisha. It falls within the Eastern Highlands moist deciduous forests ecoregion, and its woodland is a mix of coastal sal (Shorea robusta) and mixed deciduous forest.

The forest itself is the attraction rather than animals: villagers living near the sanctuary gate, in the Chandragiri Range, report that there is no significant wildlife in the area.
