Buddhanath Temple is a 12th-century Hindu temple to Shiva in the village of Garedi Panchana, in Balipatna block, roughly 22 km from Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Tradition credits its construction to King Chodaganga Dev, and its design follows Tantric principles.
Local legend holds that people bitten by snakes will not die if they are brought within the temple grounds. The building has recently been renovated with money from the 14th Finance Commission.
