The story

Kulasekharanellur Shiva Temple stands in the Nedumpura neighbourhood of Thrissur district in Kerala. Shiva is the presiding deity, and the temple is listed among the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala.

What sets it apart is the sanctum, built in the gajaprishtam form, so that its outline resembles the back of an elephant. Three other deities, Krishna, Ganesha and Sastha, are worshipped in the temple as sub-deities alongside Shiva.
