Khodaldham, at Kagvad in Rajkot district, is a temple complex dedicated to the goddess Khodal, also called Khodiyar, patron deity of the Leuva Patel community. The Shree Khodaldham Trust laid the foundation stone in 2012 and built it in three phases over 158 bigha at a cost of ₹250 crore, and opened it on 21 January 2017.
The temple follows the Mahameru Prasad design of the Maru-Gurjara style and is about 289 feet long, 253 feet wide and 159 feet high, deliberately 10 feet short of the Somnath temple's height as a mark of respect. Some 230,000 cubic feet of Bansi Paharpur pink stone went into it. Artisans from Odisha sculpted about 650 figures on the exterior, and Rajasthani carvers worked the pillars, beams and toranas, including 72 scenes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana. A 14-foot gold-plated kalasha crowns the spire. Besides Khodal, twenty deities are installed, among them Ganesha, Hanuman, Ram-Sita and Radha-Krishna.
