Jagar Dam, also spelt Jaggar, is an earthen dam close to Jagar village near Hindaun City, in the Hindaun block of Karauli district. It was finished in 1957 to provide irrigation and a water supply for the area.
The dam lies among the Aravalli hills, and its cool air and setting of hills, rivers, lakes and forest have made it a public picnic place, with groups of visitors coming out at weekends; locals liken it to a hill station. People from nearby Kotwas village have played a part in keeping the area safe for animals.
