Hargad is a small fort on the Selbari range in the Baglan area of Nashik district, close to Mulher fort. The Selbari and Dolbari ranges run parallel from east to west, and the forts on them watched over the ancient Burhanpur–Surat trade road that runs between them; they stood between the fertile lands of Khandesh and the port of Surat. No separate history of Hargad is recorded.
A good road leads to the base village of Mulher, and it is about two hours to the col between Mulher and Hargad, then about an hour to climb and see the fort. Rock-cut steps pass three ruined gates. On top are a few rock-cut cisterns and caves and a cannon 14 feet long, but no significant buildings. There is no good water, so walkers should carry plenty. Mangi-Tungi, Salher, Salota, Mora, Mulher and Nhavigad are all visible from the summit.
