Gurdwara Bibeksar Sahib

Gurdwara Bibeksar Sahib lies close to the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar and is associated with Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru. Its focus is the Bibeksar Sarovar, a holy tank that the Guru himself had dug.

The present gurdwara building was put up later by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The adjoining garden is remembered as a place where Guru Hargobind went for quiet reflection, and the site was also where he held strategic meetings and organised his followers, so it recalls both the devotional and the martial sides of his leadership.
