The story

Sadda Pind is a cultural village in Amritsar built to show how rural Punjab once lived. It works as an open-air museum, with mud houses, carved wooden doors and painted walls arranged as a traditional village.

Performers present Bhangra, Giddha and Punjabi folk songs, and craftspeople demonstrate Phulkari embroidery, pottery and the weaving of Patiala shawls. A village-style dhaba serves dishes such as makki di roti with sarson da saag, Amritsari chole and lassi. Visitors can also take part in activities such as turban tying, trying the potter's wheel or joining a staged Punjabi wedding.
