Ghanteswara Siva Temple is one of the minor shrines inside the Kapileswara temple precinct, among the lesser-known monuments of Bhubaneswar. It faces west and enshrines a Shiva lingam set on a square laterite yonipitha.
The temple is triratha in plan, with a pidha vimana whose roof rises in three tiers; the whole structure is just 2.83 m tall and its cella under a square metre. An inscription is carved on the lalatabimba. Around it lie the bhoga mandapa of the Kapileswara temple to the north, the Rosasala pathway to the east, the Dutiya Kapileswara temple to the west and the Gupteswar temple to the south.
