01 — The story

The story

Dwarka Beach runs along the Arabian Sea at Dwarka, a mix of rocky patches and white sand. The 18 m Dwarka Lighthouse stands over it, and the Dwarkadhish Temple and the Gayatri Shaktipeeth, the town's only temple to Goddess Gayatri, are close by. The daily changing of the flag on the Dwarkadhish Temple can be watched from the shore.

Camel rides and water sports are on offer, and the waters hold sea turtles, octopuses and dolphins. Local operators run ferry trips from Okha to Beyt Dwarka, Gopi Talav and other nearby spots, on which seagulls dive for snacks held out by passengers.
