Devkund is a plunge waterfall near Bhira in Raigad district, where three falls meet; it is said to be the source of the Kundalika River. Reaching it means a trek of roughly 6.5 km each way from the base village, first along the dam backwater and then through forest, with the river running alongside and at times across the path. The trail is rated moderate, and a guide is needed because of the dense forest. Locals recommend visiting between September and mid-November.
Since it spread on social media the spot has become very crowded, and several people visiting on their own have died. In heavy monsoon the water rises quickly and three streams have to be crossed, so the authorities have closed the falls in several monsoons, including from June to 30 September 2025. Many visitors come to bathe beneath the falls, though tourists have polluted what is also a drinking-water source.
