The story

Bishop Falls, near Shillong, drops about 135 metres in three tiers, making it one of the taller waterfalls in India. It is often called the twin of Beadon Falls, since the two pour off a single escarpment into one deep gorge.

The pair lie just off the highway at Mawprem. A narrow road from Mawlai leads to a viewpoint where both falls can be seen side by side, the best way to take in the scale of the gorge.
