The story

Arabithittu Wildlife Sanctuary covers 13.5 sq km at Hunsur Taluk in Karnataka's Mysore district, and is also known as the Hunsur Territorial Range. It began as the Arabithittu Game Reserve and became a sanctuary on 30 April 1985.

Much of the land is under plantations of eucalyptus and sandalwood, with scrub forest as well and farm fields around the edge. Its animals include leopard, spotted deer, wild boar, fox and mongoose. A chain link put up by the Defense Research Development Organization serves as the boundary.
