The story

Ansupa Lake lies among forests about 45 km from Cuttack and is described as the largest freshwater lake in Odisha, spread over almost 141 hectares. The Ansupa Nature Camp on its shore was built to provide facilities while keeping its impact on the surroundings low.

The lake is known for its birdlife. Migratory species arrive in season, and egrets, kingfishers and waterfowl can be seen on and around the water. Bamboo groves and mango trees surround the camp, and paths along the shore allow walks beside the lake.
