01 — The story

Vayalil Thrikkovil Mahavishnu Temple is an old Vishnu temple at Ilamkulam, Kalluvathukkal, in Kollam district, about 2 km off NH 47. The temple belongs to the Pisharikkal Mana of Kodungallur, while its day-to-day running is handled by a forum of local residents.

A Lakshmi Narayana Pooja is performed here twice every month. Its festivals include the Ashtami Rohini Maholsavam and the Bhagavatha Sapthaham, and Sopana Sangeetham has also been performed in the temple.
