Tulail Valley is a Himalayan side valley of Gurez, lying just east of it along the Kishanganga in Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, at an average altitude of 2,750 metres. The river, which rises at Krishansar Lake in the meadows north of Sonamarg, flows west through the valley. Badugam is its main town and tehsil headquarters; other villages include Burnai, Badoab, Niru and Sheikhpora, and the people are mostly of the Shina tribe.
A paved road of about 200 km links it with Srinagar via Bandipora, Razdan Pass and Gurez, but snow at Razdan Pass shuts it for six months a year. The road east to Drass over Kabul Gali is open only to the Indian Army because the Line of Control is close. Hiking trails also cross Satsar Pass to Naranag and pass Gadsar Lake on the way to Sonamarg. Mobile and internet service reached the valley only in December 2020.
