The story

Thetha Gohain Than is a Hindu temple at Dokoha in Nalbari district, Assam, dedicated to Krishna. Its name explains its focus: in Assamese, Thetha Gohain means the child Krishna.

The temple goes back to the end of the 19th century, when it was founded on land given by the late Janmi Majumdar, who lived at Kamarkuchi in the same district. A land development and plantation plan has since been registered under NREGA, with the aim of developing the temple further.
