St Patrick's Church is a Roman Catholic church at Siddakatte, Bantwal, about 35 km from Mangaluru beyond Agar, set in quiet hill country among green slopes. It belongs to the Diocese of Mangalore. Catholic families settled here after their release from captivity at Srirangapatna under Tipu Sultan, living alongside Brahmins, Bunts and Jains, and the area was at first served from the large Agar parish.
Land was bought on the hill in 1913, and in 1924 Fr Reginald Pinto began a chapel, finished in 1925 for Rs 1,200 and dedicated to St Patrick. On 10 April 1926 Bishop Valerian de Souza made Siddakatte a separate parish of 107 families, with Fr Louis J. Silva as its first priest. From the 1930s a convent, school and presbytery were developed, and a bell and tower were added in 1938. The parish celebrated 100 years in 2026.
