The story

Yoodhapuram, a shrine to St. Jude, lies at Kidangoor in Kerala, around one kilometre from Angamaly on the way to Manjapra. The Roman Catholic church here, dedicated to St. Jude Thaddeus, had its foundation stone laid in July 1999, and it comes under the Archdiocese of Verapoly.

Catholics regard St. Jude as patron of desperate cases and lost causes, and it is believed that praying with him and attending the novena for seven to nine days will bring a solution to a problem. Students, the sick, job seekers and those with family troubles all come here. Mass is said daily, with novena and special prayers on Thursdays. The feast and oottuthirunnal fall in the last week of October, when approximately 150,000 people attend on a single day.
