The story

The Sri Krishna Museum stands close to Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra and presents Krishna and the Mahabharata through sculpture, painting, carving, dioramas, life-size statues, sound and a walk-through maze, arranged over six galleries.

The first gallery holds objects in wood, ivory and metal, and the second archaeological finds. Miniature paintings and manuscripts fill the third, while the fourth uses dioramas to tell episodes from Krishna's life. Mahabharata murals line the fifth, and the sixth shows Pattachitra from Odisha and Madhubani work, along with leather puppets and Manipuri Raslila mannequins.
