The story

Dedicated to Vishnu, Shri Diggi Kalyan Ji Temple stands in the town of Diggi, in Malpura tehsil of Tonk district, Rajasthan. It has long been linked with the healing of skin ailments: by local custom, devotees bathe in or drink the water from the deity's rituals, held to have curative powers.

The temple draws regular padayatras, pilgrimages made on foot, especially from Jaipur and the surrounding region. Annual walks such as the Lakhi Padayatra are organised, and those taking part travel all the way to the temple barefoot.
