The story

Achalpuram Shivalokathyagar Temple stands in the village of Achalpuram, Kollidam block, Mayiladuthurai district. Shiva is worshipped as Shivalokathyagar and his consort as Tiruvennetru Umaiammai. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams praised by Tirugnanasambandar and is counted among the temples on the banks of the Kaveri.
