Prem Mandir is a Hindu temple to Radha and Krishna in the Mathura area, opened in February 2012 by the spiritual teacher Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj. The complex covers 54 acres, and the temple is built wholly of white marble, following traditional Hindu forms with some modern touches.
Carved marble images of Radha and Krishna stand in the central shrine, and the outer walls are covered with reliefs of episodes from their story. Landscaped gardens and fountains surround the building. After dark a sound and light show retells the life of Krishna, and devotional singing sessions known as bhajan sandhya are held at the temple.
