The story

The Musa Dakri Museum is the museum of Aligarh Muslim University, housed in the university's Kennedy Hall. It was formed in 2014 by joining two older collections: the Nizam Museum, the university's first, and the Sir Syed Archaeology museum, set up in the 1950s. It takes its name from Musa Dakri, who gave the university US$500,000. Some objects were reported missing in 2014 while the collections were being moved.

The Sir Syed Gallery holds an inscription from the reign of Balban, while the R. C. Gaur Gallery displays finds excavated at Atranji Kheda.
