The story

Perambur Flyover Park, officially Murasoli Maran Flyover Park, lies under the Perambur flyover beside Perambur railway station, where several main roads meet. The station and Perambur High Road divide it into two parts. For years it has been popular with families and especially children, though lockdowns and poor upkeep have reduced the number of visitors, and some of its greenery is expected to be lost to metro construction.

The larger northern section has a yoga stage, a play area, a junior skating podium, flower beds and a disco water feature with coloured lights, said to be the first in Chennai. The smaller southern section has benches, paths and flowering plants. The park is busiest on weekend evenings and public holidays.
