Mithi Vav is a stepwell in the eastern part of Palanpur town in Banaskantha district, Gujarat, and is considered the only monument of Parmara rule surviving in the town. Its date is uncertain: it is said to have been built around the 8th century, while its architectural style points to the late medieval period, with sculptures in the walls that may be older.
The five-storey well is entered from the west. Among the sculptures set into its walls are Ganesha, Shiva, apsaras, dancers, worshipping couples and floral and geometric patterns. A worn inscription on one sculpture in the left wall is mostly illegible, though the date Samvat 1320 (1263 AD) is legible.
