Langmarg is a meadow at 3,299 metres (10,823 feet) in Aragam village, Jammu and Kashmir, near Gailbal Forest, Daitwās and Pīrpal. Backpackers know it mainly as a base camp, from which treks continue on to Larmarg, Moonmarg and other meadows.
In summer the meadow is lively with shepherds and Gujjar herders who bring their animals to graze, and the Sheep Husbandry Department also sets up camps here. With winter comes heavy snow, and the meadow is then left empty, as living there becomes almost impossible.
