Keezhtali Mahadeva Temple, also called Keetholi Temple, is an ancient Shiva temple in Kodungallur, Thrissur district. Folklore credits the sage Parashurama with installing its Shiva image, and it is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala. It was an important temple of the Chera kingdom, and is one of the four thali temples on that list, together with those at Kozhikode, Kaduthuruthy and Talikotta.
In ancient Kerala, thalis were temples through which administration was carried out. The temple is described as the largest Shivalinga temple in Kerala, and it was among the temples destroyed during Tipu Sultan's campaign. Three pujas are performed daily, at dawn, noon and night, and the main festival is Shivaratri in the Malayalam month of Kumbham, which falls in February or March.
