The story
The Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium is an educational centre with interactive exhibits on physics, chemistry, biology and earth sciences, aimed at students, teachers and visitors of all ages. It runs workshops on robotics, where participants build their own robots, as well as on electronics, environmental science and space.
The planetarium has a dome-shaped theatre with modern projection equipment that recreates the night sky. Its shows cover the solar system, distant galaxies, black holes and the question of life beyond Earth, and draw on recent findings in astronomy.
