Gonbo Rangjon is a standalone peak in the Lungnak Valley of Ladakh, part of the wider Zanskar Range of the Himalayas. It rises to 5,520 m from a base of about 4,500 m. Local people, who follow Tibetan Buddhism, consider it holy and call it "God's Mountain".
The name translates as "Throne of Gonbo": locals and pilgrims alike believe the mountain to be the home of Gonbo, a manifestation of Mahakala, a Buddhist deity. Both the trek route and the road between Darcha and Padum pass along it. Kargyak, a village about 16 km to the north, has a view of it.
