Dr. Rajendra Prasad's Ancestral House, Ziradei

This house in Ziradei block of Siwan district, Bihar, was the family home of Dr Rajendra Prasad, a central figure in India's freedom movement and the country's first President. He was born here in 1884, and the house is valued as a landmark in his life.

It is now a protected monument. The Patna circle of the Archaeological Survey of India has looked after it since 26 July 2001, and it is entered as N-BR-65 among Bihar's Monuments of National Importance.
