Chhatarpur Temple, formally Shri Aadya Katyayani Shakti Peeth, is a large marble temple complex at Chhatarpur on the south-western fringe of New Delhi. Baba Sant Nagpal ji founded it in 1974, and his samadhi lies inside the Shiv-Gauri Nageshwar Mandir in the grounds. It is counted as Delhi's second largest temple after Akshardham.
More than 20 temples, large and small, are grouped into three sections. The presiding goddess is Katyayani, one of the nine forms of Durga, and one of her shrines opens only during the two Navratri seasons, when crowds come for darshan. Nearby rooms hold silver furniture, including a bed and dressing table in a chamber treated as the goddess's bedroom. A prayer hall hosts discourses and bhajans, and devotees tie threads on an old tree at the entrance. The area lies on the Aravalli wildlife corridor.
