Chammanad Devi Temple, also known as Chammanad Bhadrakali Temple, is in Kodamthuruth in Alappuzha district. It lies about 200 metres off the National Highway, roughly midway between Vyttila and Cherthala, some 16 km from each.
The temple is run by the Ettu Veettil Kartha family, today eight households and their branches. Two smaller shrines are linked to it: a Shasta temple near the ECEK Union school and a Sri Krishna temple at Kannukulangara, about 700 metres in the direction of Eramalloor. The main event of the year is a ten-day Utsavam held in the Malayalam month of Kumbham.
