The story

The Binnayaga Buddhist Caves, also called the Vinayaka caves, are at Binnayaga village in Jhalawar district, Rajasthan, about 8 miles from the Kolvi caves. Around 20 caves are cut into laterite in a row running east to west, all facing south. They formed a monastic complex, and their cells are smaller than those at Kolvi.

The highlight is a stupa-shaped sanctuary and a chaitya with windows. Another notable cave has two wings set around an open courtyard, with a vaulted lobby at the back whose central door is flanked by a cell on each side; a moulded pedestal against the back wall now stands empty.
