The story

The Bhartiya Sanskruti Darshan Museum stands on College Road in Bhuj and is often called the Folk Museum. It was founded by Ramsinhji Rathod, a collector and expert on Kutch folk art, and acts both as a display space and a centre for the region's culture.

The building takes the form of a traditional hut and is entered through a large stone door decorated with carvings. Inside are more than 4,500 exhibits of art and craft gathered from villages and rural areas across Kutch district, many of them rare, which together give a broad picture of the folk traditions of the region.
