01 — The story

The story

Anjuna Beach is on the coast of North Goa. In the 1960s it drew hippies searching for spiritual experience and a break from conventional life, and that bohemian past still shapes the character of the place, alongside its present role as a busy beach destination.

What sets Anjuna apart from most Goan beaches is its rocky shoreline. Instead of an unbroken strip of sand, outcrops of rock push out into the water, forming small coves and corners to explore between stretches of golden sand.
