The story

Ajmal Khan Park is a five-acre urban park in central Karol Bagh, Delhi. It opened in 1921 and takes its name from Hakim Ajmal Khan (1868–1927), a freedom fighter and physician of Unani medicine, whose Tibbia College stands beside it.

A statue of Ajmal Khan stands at the centre of the park, and the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation runs a musical fountain here. The park has long been a venue for political rallies and can hold crowds of more than 20,000 people.
