The story

Wei Sawdong Falls is a waterfall of three tiers at Cherrapunji in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district, around 60 km south-west of Shillong and close to another major fall, Dainthlen Falls. The name comes from the Khasi language: wei suggests a pool and sawdong means square-shaped.

Reaching the falls is not easy. The trek follows an out-and-back trail that is demanding, and the reward is water known for being clear and bluish-green.
