This tomb at Azimnagar, in the old part of Murshidabad, holds Azimunnisa Begum, also known as Zinatunissa Begum. She was the daughter of Murshid Quli Khan and the wife of Shuja-ud-Din Muhammad Khan, the second Nawab of Bengal. In 1734 she built a mosque at the site; a river later carried much of it away and only a small part survives. The tomb is listed by the Archaeological Survey of India as a Monument of National Importance.
She lies beneath a stairway, as does her father, who is said to have asked out of humility to be buried under the steps of the Katra Masjid so that everyone passing would tread over him. Local stories that she was cruel and was buried alive by her husband are hearsay rather than recorded history. The site has well-kept gardens and lies about 5–6 km from the Hazarduari Palace, close to Kathgola Palace, the House of Jagat Seth, Nashipur Rajbari, the Namak Haram Deorhi and Jafarganj Cemetery.
