St. Sebastian's Church stands at Udayamperoor in Ernakulam District, Kerala, 8 km south of Thripunithura and near Vembanad lake, under the Syro-Malabar Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. The place itself is historically important, since the Synod of Diamper met in 1599 at the old All Saints Church, very close by.
The parish dates from 1893, when a group led by Fr Yohannan Manickanamparambil separated from St. John the Baptist Church in South Parur. They first received the sacraments in a school hall and then built a church together. The present church was consecrated on 6 January 2005, and relics of St. Sebastian were brought from Rome. Each year the feast of Jesus, Mary, St. John the Baptist and St. Sebastian falls on the Sunday following the feast of Dhanaha on 6 January.
