St. Mary's Church in Arrah, also called the Holy Saviour Church, is a red-brick Gothic building in the Early English style, with pointed arches, spires and stained-glass windows. It draws both worshippers and people interested in its architecture.
The church dates from the early 20th century and was first named the Church of George V. Its origin is tied to 1911, when King George V stopped at Arrah on his way from Kolkata to Delhi, and the building was started in the wake of that royal visit.
