Known locally as the Church of Scotland, St. Andrew's stands in the Balloon cantonment area of Dalhousie. Protestant Christians built it in 1903 under Dr. M'Clymont, with Rev. John H. Pratt overseeing construction, to serve British soldiers posted in the town.
The plain exterior contrasts with an ornate interior in Gothic Revival style, showing pointed arches, ribbed vaults and flying buttresses alongside Indo-Scottish features. Stained-glass windows show scenes from scripture, and old wooden pews and stone carving fill the hall. The church has been restored and keeps a number of artefacts. Because it lies in a military zone, visits need prior permission.
