The story

Siddhanatheswarar Temple is a Hindu temple at Tirunarayur in Tamil Nadu, also referred to as Tirunaraiyur Siddheecharam. Shiva is the presiding deity, worshipped here as Siddha Natheswarar, and his consort is known as Soundarya Nayaki.

The temple is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams, the Shiva shrines celebrated in the Tevaram, the body of early medieval devotional poetry by the Tamil Saivite saints called Nayanars. Two of those saints, Tirugnanasambandar and Sundarar, composed hymns in praise of this shrine.
