The story

Sahasrakund Waterfall is on the Painganga River in Nanded district, at a place on the boundary between the Yavatmal and Nanded districts. It lies about 100 kilometres from Nanded, 172 from Yavatmal, 50 from Nirmal and just 18 from Himayatnagar. Sahasra means a thousand, though the name is commonly misspelt Sahastrakund.

Along with its natural setting, the waterfall is known for the temples around it: the Panchamukhi Mahadev Temple, a Ram temple and the Banganga Mahadev Temple. The rock here has a pattern that looks like black metal. The falls are an important attraction during the rainy season.
