Puranigudam Jame Mosque is a heritage mosque at Puranigudam in the Nagaon district of Assam. Built in 1824, it is central Assam's oldest mosque, and a well-known mason from Dhaka renovated it in 1909. A two-storey minaret, 42 feet tall, rises right beside the mosque.
The building is known as a symbol of harmony between the Hindus and Muslims of the area. Local people have long protected it as a mark of that unity, and residents of Puranigudam of every caste and faith share in looking after it.
