Pundareekapuram Temple is a small Hindu temple on a low rise called Midayikunnam near Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam district, Kerala. A square chuttambalam with a tiled saddle roof encloses the square sanctum, with a small balikkalpura attached. The main image shows Vishnu seated on Garuda together with Bhoodevi.
The temple is known for its paintings. Among the most striking are Shiva and Parvati seated beneath the wish-granting Kalpavriksha, Durga slaying the buffalo demon Mahisha, the boyhood pranks of Krishna at Ambadi, a yakshi, the coronation of Rama, Shiva's Tandava, and Sastha riding a horse.
