The story

Paippad Puthenkavu Bhagavathi Temple is an old shrine to the goddess at Paippad, on the Changanacherry–Kaviyoor road about 5 km from Changanacherry. Its affairs are handled by a Devaswom committee elected from two local NSS Karayogams, Paippad East and Paippad West.

The annual festival is held on Bharani day in the Malayalam month of Meenam. Its Kalamezhuthu and Pattu procession is one of the notable events among the temples of the area, and the Makarabharani Pongala is an important offering made to the goddess here.
