This temple to the goddess Muthumariamman is at Tiruvappur in Thirukokarnam, about 5 km from Pudukkottai. The goddess is shown seated in the sanctum.
The layout runs from a front mandapa past the flagstaff and bali peetam to the sanctum, and the surrounding prakara has images of Meenakshi of Madurai and Kamakshi of Kanchipuram. Fridays in the Tamil month of Aadi are its best-known occasion. In Masi the temple holds a flower-showering festival, poochoridhal, followed by a chariot procession, and Sundays in Avani bring special worship.
