Kursura Submarine Museum

This museum in Visakhapatnam is housed around an actual submarine. Its displays follow the development of submarines over time, drawing on artefacts, photographs and old documents.

The main draw is access to the vessel's interior. Visitors pass through the radar and sonar rooms and reach the control room, where the boat was commanded, and can see at close range the weapons and equipment it carried in wartime. Each compartment gives a sense of how difficult working life was for the crews who served under the sea.
