01 — The story

Karlad Lake lies at Thariode in Wayanad, 3 km from the Banasura Sagar Dam. It is described as the third-largest freshwater lake in Kerala and second in Wayanad only to Pookode Lake in size.

The lake is home to the Wayanad Adventure Camp, run by the District Tourism Promotion Council. Activities include ziplining, boating, kayaking, rock climbing and zorbing, and there are tents and cottages for visitors, a handicrafts and spices shop, and space for corporate events.
